“Tassie hospitality and delicious home cooking in a peaceful country setting”

I found Wind Song after much research on various websites including Trip Advisor. We were short on time and wanted to visit Freycinet but also be close to Hobart airport for our flight home and we couldn’t have chosen better. The location was just what we wanted, with Little Swanport being situated approximately half way between Freycinet National Pk and Hobart City.

Wind Song B&B, is in a quiet country setting with fantastic home cooked meals. The continental breakfast is included and offers a variety of cereals, bread and butter, jam, juice, tea and coffee. We also chose the $30pp dinner both nights and couldn’t have been happier. There was plenty of food for 2 adults and 2 teenagers and both meals were home cooked in Janes’ lovely kitchen. We had soup, main meal and dessert and while everything was delicious, we all agreed the desserts were amazing. Jane is such a fantastic cook and it was a lovely luxury to have our meals served to our beautifully set table in our apartment too.

There are many wonderful small touches at Wind Song, including crisp white sheets and large thick towels, a huge library of books and movies to suit all tastes as well as fresh flowers in all rooms. The beds and pillows made for a sound sleep and the accommodation is spotlessly clean and I can’t really think of anything that could make this a better place to stay. It is 5km from the main road on a large property and Tom & Jane make you feel like family. We will definitely be spreading the word and hope to return again soon.

Room Tip: Pay the extra $30pp and have the delicious home cooked dinner, you won’t regret it!
